Case Study: Pennington County Housing & Redevelopment Commission

History

On November 8, 1971, the Pennington County Commission appointed a five-member board to serve as the Pennington County Housing and Redevelopment Commission. Their organizational meeting was held on May 20, 1972. The ink had barely dried on the documents establishing the Pennington County Housing and Redevelopment Commission when, on June 9th, the catastrophic flood of 1972 occurred.
