Formed in 2005, Dakota Backup is an affiliate of both KT Connections, Inc. and Ketel Thorstenson, LLP.

With a staff of more than 150 professionals, Ketel Thorstenson is the region’s largest accounting firm. It has been in business for more than 70 years.

KT Connections, Inc. is the technology affiliate of Ketel Thorstenson, and it's been in business for a decade. KT Connections provides networking, cabling and technical support to small and mid-size businesses in western South Dakota. As an HP reseller and Microsoft Gold Partner, KT Connections is the region's leading technology solutions provider.

Where are we?

Dakota Backup is located in Rapid City, South Dakota – home to Mount Rushmore and the granite mountains of the Black Hills. Given our location near the center of North America and our lack of tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, we can guarantee your data is safe here.

Finally, we’re not one of those fly-by-night services operating out of some “geeky dude’s basement office.” We have a real brick-and-mortar building and two data centers. Dakota Backup is offsite data storage for the 21st century.
